                                                                                NEWS LETTER September 2024  
Inshaa Allah in the next session we would like parents to take note of the following:  
SCHOOL FEES: - Due to the prevailing economic situation in the country, we are compelled to review the school fees structure. In addition stationery will be paid for on a termly basis as against the previous annual basis. To support the school, parents should endeavor to pay school fees within the first week of term/resumption. We are unable to commence the distribution of books for defaulting pupils, until receipt of payments. We appeal to your understanding in this regard.  
PUNCTUALITY: - Students are expected to come into the school by 7:50am, Monday through Thursday. Classes resume at 8:00am and end at 1.00pm. Primary 5 to JSS 3 will be closing at 3:30pm. The school gate will be closed by 8:15am. Parents are advised to please endeavor to bring in their wards early as those who come late will be duly addressed. Parents are reminded that the school closes at 3:30pm on weekdays for all category of pupils. Kindly adhere strictly to this. The weekend classes for JSS 1 to SS 3 resume at 8:55am and end at 1:00pm for junior secondary classes and at 3:00pm for senior secondary classes.  
COMMUNICATION: - Parents are advised to keep their wards at home when they are not feeling well. They are also expected to inform the school of the absence of their wards on any day. The following can be contacted when the need arises. Contact numbers:

PICK-UP:- For pupils in primary six and below, if parent authorize other parties to pick-up their wards, such parties should be made known to the school and in case of an impromptu pick-up, they are to call any of the above numbers for that purpose. Only those numbers can be called for the above mentioned matter.  
SCHOOL DRESSING: The school strongly recommends the following dress code:  
MALE (1) White long gown (thaub/jalabia) during the week. (2) Decent optional outfit during weekends. (3) School shoes/ sandal. (4) No ragged or torn trousers. Trousers are to be above the ankles (5) Neat haircut    
FEMALE (1) Black full length Hijab/Khimar for primary three and above on weekdays (2) Coloured full length Hijab/Khimar for Nursery One to primary two. (3) Coloured full length for Primary three to SS 3 over the weekends. (4) School shoes/ sandal. (5) Neat clean under clothes. (6) Hair should be neatly made.   
Note:  1. Slippers are not allowed as footwear on both weekdays and weekends. Any pupil that appears in slippers, or inappropriate clothing would be refused entry into the classroom for the entire day. Please note that crocs are considered as slippers. 2. At the weekend, students are expected to maintain a neat and tidy general appearance like the weekday.   
PHONES AND LAPTOPS: All students are banned from using smartphones (at home and in school). If a student needs to use Uber or other taxi facilities which requires smartphones usage, the parent should contact the school head for further discussion on this. Any student found with a smartphone at any level in the school premises, would have the phone confiscated.   NEIGHBOURHOOD SHOP: - The shop in the neighbourhood is off limits to all students. Parents and guardians are at liberty to purchase on behalf of their wards.  
REVISION AND HOMEWORK: The pupils should be encouraged to do all assignments and return same at the right time. They should also take time to revise whatever they were taught, daily. Parent should please monitor their wards on this. Pupils that default three times in their homework, would be advised to come to school thereafter in the company of their Parent/Guardian so that they are aware of the situation.      
PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY (BOOKS & STATIONEY): - In as much the school supplies stationery, parents are advised, for pupils in Primary 3 to primary 6 and J.S.S to ensure that their wards have all the necessary books and stationery required for each day work. Parents in this category of pupils that default in this regard would be called up to provide such books; their wards would not be allowed to take such lesson if it occurs thrice.  
TELEVISION: - The evil effect of television and social media videos cannot be over emphasized on the moral and spiritual well-being of our children. In this respect parents are strongly advised to remove all source of television viewing for their wards, as it all hinders the smooth development of their Qur’an memorization process.
